Updating Your EFB

Since the switch from the Samsung Tablet to the iPhone EFB, many Flight Attendants have experienced some frustration with the frequency of required iOS and application updates. The following information walks you through the process for ensuring your EFB is current and compliant. We recommend accomplishing these tasks before each sequence.

The three components of maintaining an up-to-date EFB:

1. iOS – Current software updates
2. Comply365 – Current version
3. Comply365 – Synced

iOS Software Updates:

On your EFB, open your Settings:

Select: General > Software Update > Download and Install:

iOS updates should take no more than twenty minutes to download and install.

Comply365 Updates:

Updates to Comply365 are accomplished by reinstalling on the Self Service app. You may find the Self Service app by using the search function at the bottom of your EFB:

Type in “Self Service” and the icon for the app will appear. Select the Self Service icon:

Once in the Self Service app, select the “Search” function at the bottom of the app:

Type in “Comply” and the Comply365 app will appear. Click “Reinstall” to update the app:

To verify that the version of Comply365 on your EFB is current, inside the app click on “Settings” in the top left hand corner:

The version number will show to the right. If the version is current, it will be displayed in green. If the version is not current, it will be displayed in red:

Syncing Comply365:

Open the Comply365 app and click the “Sync” button at the top right of the page:

Click “Sync Now”:

You may also verify which iOS software updates and Comply365 version are current by referring to the iPhone EFB link on the Flight Service website:

Click on the link to iPhone EFB at the top of the Flight Service website:

The current iOS software updates and Comply365 version are listed on the iPhone EFB chart. If your iOS and/or Comply365 are not showing the listed version or higher, it’s time to update.

*The update to iOS 16.4 is due April 15, 2023 and this chart will be updated accordingly.
