PBS Outage on April 14, 2023

This morning an outage caused PBS to be unavailable for an hour from approximately 9:30 am to 10:30 am CT. As is often the case with company IT issues, Flight Attendants noticed the problem and notified the company. APFA has been in touch with Crew Planning and Inflight Technology throughout the morning while the company resolved the outage.

As a result, APFA has insisted the company delay the close of PBS bidding by one hour. This means PBS bidding for May will close at 1 pm CT on April 15, 2023. PBS bid results will be available at the normal time- 12 pm CT on April 18, 2023. 

While the company has not provided an explanation of what occurred this morning, initial findings indicate a database problem.
