5.04.23 – APFA PHL Base Brief – June 2023 Staffing and Allocations
June 2023 PHL Staffing and Allocations
Thursday, May 4, 2023
Hello PHL,
Earlier today, we had our June allocations and staffing phone call. PHL will see an increase of 9,245 block hours for June. Our Reserve percentage continues to drop- now 18.4% this year compared to 21.4% in June 2022.
On June 9th, there will be a sequence to deadhead a PHL crew to MAD through MIA to work the flight back to PHL on the 11th. Our first direct to MAD returns on the 10th. We’re happy to see this flying return to our base.
Our available headcount is 2,292 Flight Attendants, with 422 expected to be on Reserve. The preliminary line average is 82.8 hours which we expect will change based on bidding behavior.
We’ll be welcoming 28 New Hires to PHL, with eight of those being able to bid in PBS for June. The remaining 20 will join the line with built Reserve lines.
PIT – Our PIT satellite base increased to 4,745 hours in June, 44 hours more than in May. PIT trips for June consist of 93 sequences; 17 1-days, 74 2-days, and two 3-days.
IPD – The summer plan continues with 12 daily departures. FCO, LIS, 2 LHR, DUB, ATH, AMS, MAD, ZRH, BCN, VCE, and CDG.
ODANs – The company has heard us and returned our PWM, BOS, and ORD ODANs to the bid packet.
