June and the summer heat have arrived!

We continue to push everyone to keep up to date with negotiations. Now that APA has secured an agreement in principle and has seen movement in their contract negotiations, the company should focus all attention to our workforce. We are ready for a contract we deserve!

Important dates for July:

• July 1-7 is the “critical period” with regards to attendance.
• July 14^th the Contract Action Team will be doing a terminal walk.

Staffing

The company took the opportunity to cite lower than average absenteeism systemwide over the last several months. These factors were considered when creating the July staffing plan.

The reserve percentage is 22.3% vs system average of 22.9%

The reserve percentage is down year-over-year despite an increase in block hours year over year – this is a result of the increased headcount we have seen due to the continued hiring.

The expected line average for Chicago at PBS open is expected to be 82.5 vs the system average of 82.0 hours. July is the peak of the peak when it comes to summer flying.

Trip construction

1-day: 24% in July vs 24% in June.
2-day: 27% in July vs 28% in June.
3-day: 44% in July vs 44% in June.
4plus-day: 4% in July vs 4% in June.
ODAN Starts per day: 15.3 in July vs 18.4 in June.
