8.23.23 – APFA BOS Base Brief – Make a Plan to Picket on August 30th!
Make a Plan to PicketĀ on August 30th:
Send a Strong Message to American Airlines!
Wednesday, August 23, 2023
Make a plan to join us on August 30th from 11am -1pm ETĀ for a picketing event following our month-long Strike Authorization Vote. We need everyone at the steps of the State HouseĀ to show American, the media, and our passengers that we are unified in the fight for contractual improvements. We will unveil the strike authorization voteĀ results during the picket and sendĀ a solid message to American Airlines’ leadership – WE ARE READY for a contract that addresses our needs!
APFA has been actively negotiating with American Airlines while workingĀ under a Contract that became amendable in 2019. The world around us has transformed drastically over the past few years, and it is time that American Airlines brings these negotiations to a close.
Our struggle echoes across the working class:
- Secure fair wages.
- Maintain a safe working environment.
- Fight for equitable treatmentĀ despite corporate greed.
As you are likely aware, securingĀ a permit with Massport is nearly impossible. They are slow to respond, limit the areas where we can demonstrate, and cap us at a 10-person limit. Thatās why we are going BIGGER and taking our fightĀ to the steps of the Massachusetts State House.
We are inviting all Unions to stand alongside us in solidarity on August 30th, between 11 am and 1 pm ET, on the front steps of the Massachusetts State House.
