If you would like to attend a ceremony commemorating the 22nd anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, we’ve compiled a list of some events across the country.

Boston, MA

September 11, 2023 

We will be paying tribute to all the souls lost, especially “Our 33”, those crew members that were the First Responders. For those of you in the crew room that plan to attend the memorial on the tarmac, you will need to sign-up with BOS Flight Service Ops. State Police will escort all those attending the memorial to gate B11 area. You must remain with the escorts the entire time until they escort you back into the building. 

Sequence of Events 

8:00am: Crewmembers and employees gather in the Event Room.
8:15am: Reading of crewmember names, followed by a short prayer.
8:25am: State Police will escort all employees to tarmac by gates B9/B11.
8:40am: Flag ceremony, followed by moment of silence- 8:46am. 
8:50am: Proceed to United Airlines gate B27, flag ceremony & moment of ​​silence- ​​​​​​​​9:03am. 

~ At conclusion, refreshments will be served in American & United Operations ~

Location: World Trade Center Memorial – North Pool
Meet the APFA LGA Base Officers and the APFA National Officers by the North Pool at 12:00pm

We would like to ask Flight Attendants to wear your uniform if possible, however we welcome all who want to attend this ceremony.

The 22nd Annual September 11 Observance will begin at 9:50 a.m. on Monday, September 11th at the Memorial Plaza and is free and open to the public.
Visitors are encouraged to arrive early and allow ample time parking and to walk to the event site.

Park entrance will open at 07:00 a.m.

All visitors on the morning of September 11 will park in designated lots and walk to and from the event. Accessible buses are available to accommodate wheelchairs. Please consider arriving one hour early to allow time to walk to the event location.
