February 2024 Staffing and Allocations
Wednesday, January 3, 2024
Happy 2024 to everyone! Whether you celebrated at home with friends and family, enjoyed time alone, or worked a trip – 2024 will be a good year!
2024 will hopefully be the year our work group finally receives the recognition from the company we deserve in an industry-leading CONTRACT. We are all APFA – together, we will continue to be united, pushing for what we deserve.
COVID Leave – Reminder
Due to an uptick in COVID cases, more people need time off related to COVID. To receive point mitigation for COVID, Flight Attendants must present a positive proctored COVID test with their name and date of testing clearly visible.
This recode must be submitted via Comply365 within seven days of testing positive.
Accepted tests include polymerase chain reaction (PCR) or antigen (“rapid”) tests administered by pharmacies, local testing centers, or healthcare provider offices. At-home tests that do not meet these specific criteria are not qualifying tests.
This benefit applies to all Flight Attendants, whether on probation or not.
If you have any questions, please get in touch with the APFA Health Department at [email protected].
Allocations
The winter lull in international and wide-body flying took its toll on flying for February. For most of February, there is only one IPD trip until the 27th of February when another London resumes.
Super Bowl on February 11 results in an uptick in flying to/from Vegas.
Domestic wide-body flying consists of the following:
- 1 daily MCO turn February 1-14
- DFW turns (with DH) February 15 and 17
Turn percentages continue to be lower than we and the company would like. The goal is around 30% for turns. We appreciate the effort to increase our turn numbers.
ODANs increased over January’s allocations. We will keep an eye on how they are being flown.
