Wonderland Parking
We have had multiple conversations over the past month with AA BOS Management.
Here are some of the items we have discussed and received further clarification on:
- The original number of FAs parking spots that needed to be relocated was 53, between voluntary moves, transfers out of Base, and those who moved to bus reimbursement, the number of FAs remaining to be moved has reduced to 23.
- Sheryl DeMaine BOS MOD will be working in reverse seniority to contact the 23 FAs to be relocated to Wonderland.
- Wonderland Parking will be effective February 1, 2024.
While MassPort will now be operating a bus to transport employees from the Wonderland garage to Logan, safety concerns are still our top priority. For those who are currently utilizing Wonderland, please be sure to let us know of any issues, good or bad, as soon as possible.
BOS Contract ACTION Team (CAT)Â in Action
BOS CAT Team was in the Terminal on December 13th answering questions regarding Negotiations and had Holiday Cards at the ready for our FAs to fill out. Our BOS CAT Team will be conducting Terminal Walks on 22JAN and 12FEB, look for their Red APFA Logo Shirts. Thank you to Anna, Caleb, and Will for their continued efforts to keep our Membership engaged and informed.
SAVE THE DATE: Worldwide Flight Attendant Day of Action – February 13, 2024
Flight Attendants across the industry are fighting to raise the standards for our career. More than two-thirds of the U.S. Flight Attendants are in contract negotiations right now, including red-hot contract fights at American, Alaska, Air Wisconsin, United, Omni, Southwest, Frontier, PSA, Mesa, and more. Join us on Tuesday, February 13, at more than 30 airports for a worldwide day of action and picketing event. Stand in Solidarity with us to demand that airline management stop the stall tactics and negotiate the contracts we are due. It’s our turn.
Share Your Story
Let your voice be heard by sharing your testimonial on how the lack of a contract has personally affected you. We must continue to hold management accountable and keep up the fight for a contract we have earned and deserve. Click Here to share your story.
NOV-DEC Holiday Banked Points, Pay and Incentive Periods
For those who worked the 22-27NOV Holiday Period, banked points should be visible. If you are missing a banked point, please reach out to the BOS Crew Attendance Manager, Malyssa Tantsi (CAM). Her email is [email protected].
Please double check your 15DEC23 paycheck for your NOV Holiday Pay, there were some discrepancies and several FAs were missing pay. Be sure to complete a DirectConnect on the Inflight page and File a Pay Discrepancy Formon APFA.org.
As a Reminder, the Winter Incentive window was 22DEC-03JAN for 1 Banked Point and the Holiday Pay Dates are 24-26DEC, 31DEC and 01JAN.
Holiday Pay is paid out in the same pay cycle it is earned. For example, December holiday pay will be paid on the January 2024 mid-month check. January holiday pay will be paid on the February 2024 mid-month check.
Sick Bank Balance
In past years, those with a sick bank of less than 40 hours at the start of each year were advanced sick time to bring them up to 40 hours. With the loss of the Massachusetts Earned Sick Time Law, we will no longer see this happen. As always, we encourage you to review your sick bank balance and usage by checking your HISK in Crew Portal. If there are any discrepancies please contact [email protected] and copy Devyn ([email protected]) and myself ([email protected])Â into the email.
