Meet Our Newest Professional Standards/EAP/CIRP Representative

BOS APFA would officially like to introduce our base to the newest member of our Team, Tyler Anderson. Tyler joined the airline in 2011 after a career as an Emergency Response Manager for ExpressJet Airlines. He has been based in Charlotte and Philadelphia, but his favorite base is Boston. He loves the close-knit, family-type atmosphere. He enjoys having the opportunity to build relationships with coworkers via flying together more regularly than you get to do at larger bases. Tyler has served on the AA/APFA Critical Incident Response Team for the past 6 years and participates on the AA airline Accident Response Care Team. He also is a Certified Crisis Counselor at Crisis Text Line, a national mental health support text program. He joined the EAP/Professional Standards & CIRT Team in October, attended APFA EAP/FADAP Representative Training, and is excited to work with his coworkers in Boston. In early February, he completed his APFA training with the Critical Incident Response Program (CIRP). Vacation Bidding

Don’t forget that the primary round for vacation bidding will close on Wednesday, February 28, at 12 pm CT. Primary round awards will be posted no later than Tuesday, March 5, at 12 pm CT. If you have any questions regarding your accrual, the buyback, or the bidding process, you may email [email protected] or open a ticket on the Support Tab in Crew Portal.

National Officer Elections

Ballots for the 2024 APFA National Officer Runoff Elections were mailed on Monday, February 5, 2024, to all APFA members. If you have not received your ballot, now is the time to request your duplicate ballot. You can request a duplicate ballot directly through the YesElections Support Desk by phone at (866) 384-9978 or by e-mail at [email protected]. Duplicate ballots must be requested by February 28 at 12pm CT. All ballots must be received in the designated P.O. Box by Wednesday, March 6, at 10am CT.

Quarterly Training Due March 11, 2024

The first Quarterly Training of the year is due on March 11 at 2359 CT. Training Pay will appear the month after you complete the WBT. If you have any questions or concerns, reach out to the Training Support Desk at 1-800-VIP-CREW, option 6 and then 1.
