Important Information Regarding White House Picket on May 9th

Dear fellow Flight Attendants,

As we prepare to march in front of the White House to demand our right to strike, our resolve is stronger than ever. Behind the smiles and professional service lies a workforce facing blatant disrespect and injustices that can no longer be ignored.

On Thursday, May 9th, we will stand together, along with APFA National President Julie Hedrick, to represent all 27,000 American Airlines Flight Attendants who deserve an industry-leading contract. We are demanding wage improvements, enhanced work rules, and respect for our profession.

The Railway Labor Act was intended to facilitate the prompt resolution of labor disputes; however, our negotiations have dragged on for far too long. Our contract negotiations need the backing of a credible strike threat to reach an agreement.

As APFA Flight Attendants, we understand the power of unity and solidarity. It is our nature to support each other and stand unified in the face of adversity. Our picket is not just a demonstration but a testament to our collective strength. Solidarity is our greatest asset. American Airlines Management will not underestimate us.

The caravan will meet at DCA’s North Terminal Metro entrance at 0940, this will provide time to load metro fare onto your physical or mobile SmarTrip card. The caravan will leave promptly at 1000.
