DCA Deserves Better – Tell Management NOW!

DCA Flight Attendants,

As your DCA Base President and fellow Flight Attendant, we stand together in the struggle for positive change. Representing DCA, BWI, and IAD, our workgroup currently faces forced hours in our schedules due to PBS constraints, short layovers with multiple legs per day, minimal soft credit, limited cadence and regularity with our sequences, no TTS and UBL flexibility, high percentages of reserves, and a deficiency and quality of trip options. We are the only base that does not have the option to fly IPD trips despite being required to qualify on wide-body aircraft.

For too long, we’ve witnessed the challenges and injustices that hinder our flexibility and work-life balance. But let me be clear: we are not powerless, and together, we will advocate for change!

In my role as your DCA Base President, along with DCA Base Vice President Dianne Britton, we have tirelessly fought for your rights, your well-being, and the dignity and respect you deserve. Now, we call on each of you to stand with us, for each other, and against the status quo. The allocations and manpower planning departments and our local base management need to hear directly from you.

Together, we can confront management with our unwavering determination to make meaningful improvements for all Flight Attendants based at DCA. Collectively, we demand the respect, fairness, and support we deserve. We will not just make a difference; we WILL be the difference.
