2024 Tentative Agreement:
Important Voting Information
Friday, August 9, 2024
Your APFA National Ballot Committee (NBC) would like to share some important voting information as we prepare to open the voting for the 2024 Tentative Agreement on Tuesday, August 13, at 12:00 PMĀ (CT). We have worked hard to make sure that the voting process is as smooth and easy as possible, enabling you to vote online securely and with confidence.
Here are some helpful voting info/tips:
- Know your APFA login credentials. Similar to the Strike Authorization Vote, you will need these credentialsĀ to cast your vote. Password reset options have improved and are quick and easy on APFA.org.
- IMPORTANT: Ensure that your contact info and email are current! You can update those onĀ APFA.org > My Account > Update My Info.
- The voting period will be open for 30 days and will close on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at 12:00 PM (CT).
- When you’re ready to vote, click the voting link and log in using your APFA credentials. This will direct you to a separate and secure voting site through our vendor, YesElections. Rest assured that your vote is completely secure and confidential. It’s important to note that NOBODY, not even YesElections, will have access to or can see how you cast your 2024 TA vote.
- Once you cast your 2024 TA vote, remember that you will NOT be able to change it. Take time to make the best decision for yourself.
- You will receive a confirmation email after your vote has been cast to yourĀ email onĀ file with APFA.
- Per the APFA Constitution, only active members in Good Standing may cast a vote for the 2024 TA. For this reason, you’ll be using your APFA login to access the secure voting site. ThisĀ login step automatically checks your voting eligibility before directing you to the secure voting site.
- If you click on the voting link and are redirected to a page that notifies you of your ineligibility to vote, it will also provide you with options on how to proceed. Please do not hesitate to contact the TA Call Center with any questions or for assistance.
- You can become a Member in Good Standing to be eligible to vote until the vote closes on September 12. However, we strongly advise against waiting until then. Additionally, the deadline to get on an approved and executed APFA payment plan to be eligible to vote is August 13 at 12:00 PM (CT), 30 days before the vote closes.
Please direct all questions to the TA Call Center above.
In Solidarity,
AdamĀ Mullens
