Happy September Chicago!

The leaves are already changing on the trees. Summer flew by.

Today was the Staffing and Allocations call for the October contractual period. The contractual month is October 1st – October 31st.

APFA ORD JCBA Training

Do you want to understand our contract better? Are you eager to learn? We hear you, Chicago! Save the date for our JCBA Training focusing on JCBA 10.J. – Rescheduling. We will host two sessions on October 6th. The first session begins at 10:00 AM and the second at 1:30 PM.

The training will take place in the ORD West Conference Room, located above the AA ticket counters. There is no need to access security. More information will come. It will be informative and fun. We look forward to seeing you there.

Allocations

25% of the October hours will be wide-body flying.
ODAN departures are up 5%

October 14 – Columbus Day and Indigenous People’s Day
October 27 – Start of winter season and our European destinations start to come down
October 31 – Halloween

Staffing

The reserve percentage for Chicago is 17.1%. The System average is 18.4%.

Line average for Chicago at PBS open is expected to be 79.2 with a System average of 79.2.

One-day sequences remain the same while the two-day and four-day sequences have increased by 1%. We lose bank 5, which affects our turns, and bank 8, which affects our overnights on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. We continue to advocate for high-time turns. When our seasonal flying decreases beginning in November, we should see an increase in our turns.
