9.17.24 – National Voter Registration Day

National Voter Registration Day

Tuesday, September 17, 2024

Today is National Voter Registration Day. Now is a good time to check your voter registration status to ensure that you are able to participate in our democratic process on November 5th, 2024.

In most states, you must register to vote well in advance of Election Day. Registering to vote is quick and easy. If you haven’t voted in a while or have recently moved, you’ll need to re-register to ensure your information is current. If you did not vote in the last election, it is possible your state purged your voter registration. Double-checking your registration status is always a good idea.

Vote Early

As Flight Attendants, our schedules can be unpredictable, which might make voting in person on November 5th challenging. Voting early in person can also help avoid long lines and ensure your ballot is counted on Election Day. See how to vote early in your state.

Your Vote Matters

Through this election, we have an opportunity to empower working people. While corporations often have more resources to influence Washington, we have the collective strength to elect representatives who truly understand and care about workers’ concerns.

Election 2024 will influence all three branches of the federal government. Elected representatives will also appoint and confirm other key decision-makers. These decisions directly impact Flight Attendants, the aviation industry, and Labor unions nationwide. All 435 seats in the U.S. House of Representatives and a third of the U.S. Senate are up for election. State and local elections will also affect you and your community.

Review your ballot and understand where all of the candidates stand before heading to the polls. Questions about your ballot? We’re here to help. Reach out to us at [email protected].
