When PBS processing begins, if additional Lineholders are needed, those with Reserve status will be changed to Lineholder status in the following order:

1. Tentative Flight Attendants whose preference was Lineholder in the LRD process.
2. Reserve Flight Attendants who toggled to Pref LH in the LRD who were unable to hold Lineholder status in LRD.
3. Most junior Reserve Flight Attendants involuntarily moved to Lineholder status after all the above have been utilized.

Important: If you are in one of these 3 categories above, you will want to bid 7 layers of Reserve and 7 layers of Lineholder in PBS.

• DCA reserve seniority for October begins at system seniority 24,583 OCC date of April 6, 2023.
• Reserve percentage is + 2% compared to November 2023 with only an increase of 6 Lineholders year-over-year.
• Block hours year-over-year is + 1.4%.

Attendance/Incentive Points and Holiday Pay

Note: The Critical Period for Attendance/Incentive Points is separate from Holiday Pay.

• For Attendance/Incentive Points, the Critical Period this year is November 27 through December 1. This captures the Wednesday prior to Thanksgiving through the Sunday following. Any absences during this period will accrue an additional point under the company’s Attendance and Performance Program. Likewise, operating all sequences, RAPs, or Standby Shifts during this period will earn an incentive credit (banked point) that can be used later to reduce a point-generating absence.
• For Holiday Pay, any flying performed on November 27, November 28, December 1, and December 2 is paid + 100% over your base hourly rate and is based on the greater of scheduled or actual hours flown on the designated holiday. The holiday premium will be paid above guarantee for reserves and will be pay, no credit for Lineholders.

We have a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA)!

We are excited to announce that our collective bargaining agreement has officially been ratified. Thanks to the overwhelming support of our members, over 94% voted in favor. This agreement was ratified on September 12, 2024, and the official Date of Signing (DOS) was October 1, 2024.The Implementation Timeline provides the new contract provisions, including pay increases and other language updates that will go into effect. We sincerely thank you for your support and for making this collective bargaining agreement possible!

October is globally recognized as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, often referred to as “pink October” because of the widespread use of pink ribbons and themes to promote awareness. This month is dedicated to educating people about breast cancer, encouraging early detection through screening, and supporting ongoing research for better treatments. Wear your approved pink accessories to work to show support for this important cause.

On the anniversary of September 11, your local base leadership took part in ceremonies at the Capitol, the Pentagon, and in Shanksville, PA. If you ever get the chance to visit these memorials, we encourage you to do so. Reading the names of those who perished that day brings a deep sense of connection and remembrance, and it reinforces our commitment to NEVER FORGET!
