December 2024 PHL Staffing and Allocations

Hello PHL,We had our December Allocations & Staffing Call on Sunday, December 3rd. Here is what we know:

There are no VLOA’s being offered for December. We will have no New Hire Flight Attendants either. The system line average is opening at 78.2 hours while PHL’s opening line average was expected at 77.5 hours.

The charter numbers for December are reduced. The Snowball Express event charters are considered volunteer events and not included in the sequences.

RESERVES

The Reserve percentage is 18.6%. That is down from last December of 21.5%. 454 Flight Attendants are expected to be on reserve in December compared to 508 in December 2023. Remember, that number can always change due to bidding behaviors once PBS opens.

ALLOCATIONS

PHL will have 142,624 hours of flying, up from 137,116 hours in November. that is a gain of 5,508 hours. This ranks PHL as #6 in the system for allocated hours.

ODANS

We lost some time in ODANS. BOS, PWM, IND, BTV, and PVD are available to bid.

IPD

DOH will be staffed with 10 Flight Attendants. Over the holidays, the following destinations will have extended RON’s:

FCO – departures on 12/23 and 12/24, 50+25 RON scheduled
AMS – departures on12/14, 12/21, and 12/30 are scheduled for a 48+40 RON
DUB – departures on 12/23 and 12/24 are scheduled for 75+40 RON

DOH, LHR, ZRH, MAD, CDG, BCN, LIS, are scheduled as usual.

*As a reminder, please pay attention to departure times and arrival times as they vary throughout the month.

DOMESTIC WIDEBODY FLYING

PHL will have:

PHX 1-day turn the first 3 days of the month
DFW 2-day all month
MIA 2-day on the 18th
LAX 2-day on the 19th

PIT SATELLITE

PIT gains 58 hours of flying. Total PIT flying is 4,772 hours.

ATTENDANCE/INCENTIVE POINTS AND HOLIDAY PAY

From the WINGS Foundation: Recycling Update

Have our recycling procedures changed?

To be clear- recycling procedures have not changed. It is still standard service procedure to recycle aluminum cans and Wings Foundation is not advocating for Flight Attendants to stop recycling. Please continue to recycle for the benefit of the environment and trash management onboard the aircraft.

If you have questions about PBS, TTS, or any other company systems or policies, please direct your inquiries to PHL Inflight via email or phone at 610-362-4100. Your crew managers are responsible for assisting you.

Management, including your crew managers, should be available to answer Flight Attendant questions about all aspects of our jobs rather than focus on micromanaging and disciplining Flight Attendants with insignificant issues. When management closed the Flight Attendant Bidding and Resource Center, they assured Flight Attendants that help would be available. Please reach out if you need assistance with your bids or any other company policy questions or issues. If you do not receive the help you need, please contact your APFA base leadership.
