November 20, 2024 Special Board of Directors Meeting Recap

A Special APFA Board of Directors meeting convened on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, to review a proposed dues restructuring program for our Union. To view the final agenda for the Special Board of Directors Meeting, click here.

As you may recall, four Steering Committees, comprised of your APFA Base and National Leadership, were created at the 2024 Fall Board of Directors Meetingto guide critical issues and initiatives for our Union. These Steering Committees address the most pressing issues for our Union, including the connotation of the financial reform initiative and ensuring a modern and updated APFA Constitution to reflect the needs of our Members.

On Tuesday, November 19th, 2024, your Base Presidents met again to consider further reform and restructuring to ensure our Union operates efficiently and provides the most service to our Members. Topics included:

  • Dues Restructuring
  • Updates to the Negotiations and Negotiations Related Fund (NNRF)
  • Addition of an annual dues payment incentive.

2024 Dues Restructuring information resources will include:

  • Hotlines with information on ballot measures, voting dates, and more.
  • A virtual town hall will be held live and then recorded for your viewing (see below).
  • A dedicated Due Restructuring webpage on APFA.org.
  • A 2024 Dues Restructuring booklet will be mailed to your address on file with APFA.
  • A Dues Restructuring Call Center to answer questions.
