12.29.22 – Logging Into the New APFA.org

We continue to receive reports that some members are experiencing issues with logging in to the new APFA website. We have confirmed success logging in if you try a different browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, IE).

12.28.22 – Negotiations Update #20

Negotiations continued in November and December. During these sessions, the company and APFA exchanged updated proposals on Section 10- Scheduling. APFA also passed our opening proposal on Section 12 – Reserve.

This morning the Company sent out a CCI message advising Flight Attendants that the Holiday Incentive Pay would be deposited only to their designated “Remainder” bank account.

12.21.22 – Rescheduling Reminders: Winter Storm Elliott

Winter Storm Elliott could bring blizzard conditions to parts of the Great Lakes as well as high winds to the East Coast, affecting travel leading up to the holiday weekend. Bitterly cold air could reach Texas, the Gulf Coast and Florida. In the event of a cancellation or reschedule, we want you to have a clear understanding of your responsibilities, as well as Crew Scheduling’s obligations.

12.20.22 – Coverage Needed (CN) Dates – January 2023

Coverage Needed (CN) is a term applied to a day in a bid month when not enough Flight Attendants bid in PBS to fly on that day. PBS will allow as many Flight Attendants to be off on a particular day as possible, whether it is a holiday or not.

12.13.22 – REAL ID Deadline Extended from May 3, 2023 to May 7, 2025

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced that it has delayed full enforcement of the Real ID. It was supposed to go into effect on May 3, 2023. Full enforcement will now take effect on May 7, 2025.

11.30.22 – Flight Attendants Stand with Rail Workers | Call Your Senators Now

Flight Attendants stand with Railroad Workers. Their fight is our fight! Railroad workers are under the Railway Labor Act – the same labor law we fall under. We are working hand in hand with Flight Attendants across the industry, including our sister union AFA-CWA, to tell Congress to correct this now.
