We made some movement in our last two mediated bargaining talks. Our meetings in DFW this week are September 6th-8th. As indicated previously, management has committed to providing us with an economic proposal this week.

Yesterday, we made it clear to American management that we are fired up, unified, and standing together for a contract with significant improvements to compensation, retirement, scheduling flexibility, and more. This strong strike authorization vote is a powerful tool necessary to reach an agreement.

99.47% of participating Flight Attendants voted yes to authorize a strike! This vote authorizes APFA leadership to call a strike if contract talks do not yield significant improvements.

The research group requests current and retired Flight Attendants to participate in this fourth survey to represent our profession accurately. The goal is to understand the prevalence of health conditions in current and retired U.S. and international flight crew

Coverage Needed (CN) is a term applied to a day in a bid month that occurs when not enough Flight Attendants bid in PBS to fly on that day. PBS will allow as many Flight Attendants to be off on a particular day (whether it’s a holiday or not) as possible

8.17.23 – Strike Authorization Vote Eligibility Deadline Approaching

To vote in the strike authorization vote, you must be dues current by Thursday, August 24th, at 5pm (CT). If you are not in good standing by this deadline, you will be unable to vote in the strike authorization vote.
