8.04.23 – Strike Authorization Voting for Probationary Flight Attendants

All APFA Members in good standing, including probationary Flight Attendants, may participate in the strike authorization vote. Your vote is completely confidential.

8.03.23 – Should I or Shouldn’t I Use CBD?

As a Flight Attendant, if you test positive for marijuana (THC), regardless of whether it is state approved medical or recreational marijuana and regardless of whether you knowingly smoked a joint or unknowingly ate a marijuana edible, you will be deemed a test violator.

American Airlines Management is proposing concessions in scheduling which would significantly undermine our working conditions. We have been very clear at the bargaining table that we will not agree to concessions. These proposals are unacceptable.

7.30.23 – APFA Call Center Hours Extended Until 9pm CT Tonight

If you need help with your password or have other voting-related questions or issues, APFA Representatives will be available in our call center this evening, via phone or text, until 9:00 pm CT, at 806-4STRIKE (806-478-7453).

7.30.23 – APFA Website Password Resets

The opening of the strike authorization vote has increased requests for password resets to access the voting portal located within the APFA website. Beginning today, we have streamlined the procedure for password resets to offer you access to the website more quickly.

7.30.23 – Payment Arrangement Deadline: 5:00 pm CT Today

In order to be eligible to vote in the SAV, a payment plan must be initiated and first payment received must be completed today by 5pm (CT).

7.29.23 – Strike Authorization Vote Now Open

Yesterday, the APFA website experienced issues with the server that hosts our website. The issue has been resolved, and you may cast your strike authorization vote through Tuesday, August 29th, at 11:59 pm CT.

7.28.23 – APFA Website Experiencing High Traffic Volume

This morning, thousands of American Airlines Flight Attendants visited the APFA website to exercise their right to vote and to send a strong message to management that we are ready for an industry-leading contract.

Earlier this morning, our website host reported a problem with the server, which has led to intermittent login issues for certain users attempting to cast a vote.

7.24.23 – Voter Eligibility for the Strike Authorization Vote

A Strike Authorization Vote (SAV) allows Flight Attendants to show their solidarity and readiness to use all legal means under the Railway Labor Act (RLA) to secure the contract that we have rightfully earned. All members in good standing are eligible to vote in the SAV.

7.18.23 – American Airlines Flight Attendant Union Board Of Directors Approves Strike Authorization Vote

EULESS, Texas (July 18, 2023) – Yesterday, the Board of Directors of the Association of Professional Flight Attendants, comprised of Union Leadership from all ten of American’s Flight Attendant bases, unanimously authorized the APFA Negotiating Committee to conduct a strike authorization vote of the 26,000+ Flight Attendants at American Airlines.
